Location: Costa Rica is located in Central America bordering neighboring counties Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. Costa Rica is also bordered by the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean.
Size: Costa Rica is approximately 51,100 sq km which is slightly smaller in comparison to West Virginia.
Terrain: Costa Rica's terrain consists of coastal plains separated by rugged mountains which include over 100 volcanic cones such as Paos Volacano (one of it's largest and most active volcanoes).

I noticed that Costa Rica and the country I have, New Zealand are somewhat similar geographically because they both have high mountain ranges that divide the country in half, which can also affect the difference in climate from a city on the west coast to a city on the east coast.
